Painted Tote Bags
These one-of-a-kind tote bags are made with recycled materials! They may look like a bunch of random scribbles and splatters of paint, but they hold a special meaning:
When I first started painting, I was terrified to make any bold strokes or paint anything that didn't look perfectly polished or realistic. After many years of becoming confident in my work, I started experimenting with vibrant colors and fun patterns in my style.
Since environmentalism is also a big passion of mine, I decided to use the leftover paint from my brush when I am working on a painting to create instinctive strokes on these tote bags so that the paint didn't end up going down the drain.
I realized from this process that the organic mark making that my hand made held so much value and beauty that I never saw before.
These tote bags act as my symbol of showing how I am no longer afraid to make a mark no matter how crazy or colorful it may be.
